THE CASTLE OF THE KING

The oldest received building monument of Bornholm from the Middle Ages lies Lilleborg on an oval one,
16 into high rock piece above the woods lake Borreso, the older parts, pole sec noble (sausage boiler.)
and, today, almost Knappedam (squire pond) have dried out.

Became the castle as a base set up for the possession of the king at the Anitsbezirk Ronne as which other three areas of jurisdiction of the island in 1149 had been assigned to the archbishopric Lund.

During the great church feud between Jakob Erlandsen Lind Kristofjer I. the ally of the bishop, prince Jaromir of Rügen, made the castle for the ground in spring 1259 at once, and it is a ruin since then.

The castle place measures 75 x 40 m.
The main building of the castle at the southern battlement to the lake is 26 m for a long time and 8 m widely and in two departments split.
It was a beautiful building with granite arches over the windows and columns from polished cement stone.
Found glass residues indicate that the plates of window glass were used for with the first one here in Denmark.
